 1.  Queen Padmini : Rani Padmini, also known as Padmavati, was a wonderful queen of Mewar.  Tales of her beauty spread to nearby kingdoms. Her beauty mesmerized anyone. She is famous for her role in the siege of Alauddin Khilji and for her extraordinary beauty and grace.  Many poems and folktales have depicted her beauty and bravery.



 2.Queen Rukmini : The first queen of Lord Krishna was Rani Rukmini.  Her extraordinary beauty, intelligence and devotion to Lord Krishna made her an extraordinary genius.  His story is referenced in the ancient Indian mythology, the Mahabharata.  Many Khaniyas are famous about Lord Krishna and his subject.


 3. Queen Ahilyabai Holkar : Rani Ahilyabai Holkar was the sovereign of the Maratha-administered Malwa region.  He is remembered as one of the most benevolent and just rulers of India.  His efforts to promote culture, arts and education shaped his reign.  She was also a supporter of Hindu temples and helped rebuild several religious places. The city of Indore has a college, airport, etc. named after this queen.


 4. Queen Lakshmibai : The Rani of Jhansi, or Rani Lakshmibai, was a prominent participant in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against British rule.  She was known for her fierce assurance and bravery in the battle field.  In Indian history, Rani Lakshmibai is regarded as a courageous figure who served as a source of inspiration for the struggle for independence.

5. Queen Gayatri Devi: Maharani Gayatri Devi was the queen of Jaipur, who was famous for her beauty, grace and charm. Apart from being beautiful, the queen was very clever, and intelligent and a skilled politician.  She was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, for her political activism.  In addition, Maharani Gayatri Devi was renowned for her charitable efforts and commitment to education.


 6. Queen  Chandravati: The queen of Mewar was Chandravati during the 16th century.  She will be remembered for her extraordinary beauty as well as her strong leadership in times of crisis.  To protect her kingdom, Rani Chandravati fought the Mughal army under the leadership of Emperor Akbar against the Mughal Empire and displayed great bravery and courage.  The stories of his bravery are still told among the people.


 7. Queen  Karnavati: Rani Karnavati was the queen of Chittorgarh during the 16th century.  He is admired for his bravery and selflessness.  Rani Karnavati sought help from Emperor Humayun of Delhi when Chittorgarh was besieged by Emperor Bahadur Shah of Gujarat.  He sent her a rakhi, or sacred thread.  This display of patience and careful love has become incredible in Indian history.


 8. Queen  Durgavati: During the 16th century, Rani Durgavati was the queen of the central Indian kingdom of Gondwana.  He is admired for his extraordinary bravery and leadership in defending his kingdom from the Mughal army.  Rani Durgavati fought valiantly, but she was defeated in the war.  Instead of surrendering, he chose to commit "jauhar" or self-immolation.


 9. Queen Mirabai : Queen Mirabai, who lived in the 16th century, was famous for her devotion to Lord Krishna.  He wrote many devotional songs or bhajans for Lord Krishna which are sung even today.  Rani Mirabai is a well-known figure in Indian history for her unwavering faith and devotion to the divine.

10. Queen Sita Devi queen of Kapurthala: The queen wife of the Punjabi princely state of Kapurthala was Rani Sita Devi.  She was famous for her exquisite beauty and unique fashion sense.  Queen Sita Devi was seen as a style icon of her time and played a huge role in furthering Indian materials and craftsmanship.
